LCD Display 16x2 is a classic, highly reliable alphanumeric dot-matrix liquid crystal display module capable of showing 32 characters total across 2 rows of 16 characters each. Powered by the industry-standard HD44780 (or compatible) controller chipset, this display provides crisp, clear dark text against a vibrant backlit screen. While it can be wired directly using 6 to 12 microcontroller GPIO pins, it is also fully compatible with I2C adapter backpack boards to simplify wiring down to just two signal lines. Important Notes:

• Contrast Adjustment: If the text characters appear invisible or completely dark/blocked upon powering up, adjust the voltage on the V0 (Contrast) pin using a 10k potentiometer until the characters become sharp and clear.
• Backlight Resistor: Ensure the LED backlight anode (A) and cathode (K) pins are powered correctly (typically 5V with a built-in or external current-limiting resistor of 220 ohms) to prevent burning out the backlight LEDs.
• Wiring Complexity: Direct parallel wiring requires 6 digital pins on your microcontroller; to save pins, solder an I2C Serial Adapter Module (PCF8574) onto the back pins to control the display over just 2 wires (SDA and SCL).
• Logic Level: The data pins operate on 5V logic; when using with a 3.3V microcontroller (like ESP32), ensure proper signal compatibility or use an I2C adapter module powered properly.
