DC-DC Boost Converter Module XL6009 (XL6009E1) is a high-performance, step-up power supply module designed to boost lower DC input voltages to a higher regulated DC output voltage. Built around the 2nd generation 400kHz high-frequency XL6009 switching regulator IC, it delivers up to 94% conversion efficiency, outperforming older LM2577 step-up modules. Important Notes:

• Step-Up Only Function: This is a pure boost (step-up) module. The output voltage must always be set higher than the input voltage by at least 1.5V. It cannot step down or regulate if the input voltage exceeds the target output.
• Potentiometer Calibration: When using a brand-new module for the first time, you may need to rotate the blue potentiometer screw counter-clockwise 10 to 15 full turns before the output voltage begins to change.
• Thermal Management: If operating continuously at switching currents above 2A or total output power above 15W, attach an external aluminum heat sink to the XL6009 IC to prevent thermal shutdown.
• No Reverse Polarity Protection: Connecting input power in reverse (+ to -) will instantly destroy the onboard XL6009 IC. Always double-check wire connections with a multimeter before applying power.
