TP4056 1A Li-ion Lithium Battery Charging Module with Current Protection (Type-C) is a compact, complete linear charger board for single-cell 3.7V lithium-ion or lithium-polymer (LiPo) batteries (such as 18650, 14500, or flat LiPo cells). Upgraded with a modern USB Type-C input port, this module incorporates the TP4056 charging IC alongside dedicated DW01A battery protection and FS8205A dual MOSFET ICs. It provides safe 1A constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging while protecting the connected battery cell against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits.

Important Notes:

• Always connect the battery before connecting the USB power cable to ensure proper protection circuit activation.
• Connect the battery positive terminal strictly to BAT+ and the battery negative terminal strictly to BAT-. Reverse polarity connection will permanently damage the TP4056 chip.
• Connect your external load (e.g., motor driver, boost converter, microcontroller) to OUT+ and OUT-, NOT directly to BAT+ and BAT-, so the DW01A protection IC can safely disconnect the load if the battery voltage drops below 2.5V.
• Ensure the charging current does not exceed 30% to 40% of the battery capacity (e.g., a 1000mAh battery should ideally be charged at 300mA–400mA for maximum lifespan; change the PROG resistor if lower charging current is required).
• Heat dissipation is normal during 1A high-current charging; ensure adequate airflow around the module during operation.
